We develop bio-based materials with a focus on plastics, bioplastics and especially biocomposites (thermoplastic and thermoset).

In the early years, the hemp needed did not come from the laboratory, but from the Rhine meadows – harvested on site and transported to the university in a manner befitting its status, by professor's cargo bike.

Plastic recycling
We also provide support in the area of conventional plastics and their recycling, assisting with recipe and process improvements.
